Chmiel ran 14:10 (4k) for the win. She took the lead right from the start and never looked back. Claudia Lane was the next American finisher and came in 7th with a 14:30. The American girls team lost by one point to the Brits.
On the boys side, Danny Kilrea was top American in 4th place (19:24 - 6k). Junior USA boys got smoked by Europe and the Brits.

As I thought, Chmiel is number 2
Lane is number 3 -
That course wasn't meant for Claudia. I expected this.
-
How much would Tuohy have won this race by?
-
Tuohy wins all these races by not running them.
-
Full results of the race and a post-race interview with Chmiel are here:

Sure you did. Maybe she just had a bad day. Her priority was FL NC, and this was secondary. Give her a break man.
-
As you thought? Right!! I guess Claudia can't have one bad day as all the NYer's and Tuohy fans will just pounce on her. Pretty pathetic. Isn't Claudia an American too? Anyway, congrats to Chmiel. Great run!
-
Exactly might thoughts. Lane would just be a good runner if in NYS.
-
Not that it is the end all and be all but this result should add a bit more evidence to the Tuohy side v Lane...

But what about her dominance compared to Mariah Castillo? -

This isnt just an insult to Lane, these comments are insulting to Chmiel too. -

People have been underestimating Chmiel for the past 3 months. The girl ran a 9:18 for 3000m as a soph. Remember, Hasay was only running the two miles in 10:07 as a soph. -
This just shows how good Cali xc is. The only reason Lane ran bad was because she was exhausted from running against and beating the best of the world in her home state...

You are brain-dead, probably from inhaling all of that wildfire smoke. Come to NY to watch a proper xc race with actual hills. You ignorant Californians would fall over backwards and get trampled by NY. -

Except, Lane ran away with the National Championships, two years in a row. -

Plus Chmiel is quickly improving, and probably much better than Touhy at this point. -
Wow what a big surprise: California kid goes and competes in weather that is about 30 degrees colder than at home and “gets trounced” (because 7th place at worlds means you were trounced if you write for Letsrun) and a New York kid goes and runs great in temps they run in everyday.
No different than what happens at NXN almost every year for California kids; overraced and not acclimated. Lane v Tuohy at Arcadia is going to be tough for Lane to handle psychologically. Hopefully she doesn’t break. -
What a shocker wrote:

7th place at Worlds?
Not every race outside the US is a world championship -

Yeah I'm sure a sub-9:00 3K is right there waiting for her lol
