Heath, O'Connor, and Bor dropping off of Ozbilen's pace.
Korir sitting tight, with two other Europe runners.
This rate is set up for Korir to win in the stretch.
Anyone willing to discus the elephant in the room--Chris Derrick?
USA USA USA!
Well played by Korir. Took the lead when it mattered.

What's the elephant? He performed at about the same level has for the past couple years.
Korir times his kick perfectly yet again.

Good event. There should be meets like this in the USA.

Pipe dream. You realize this baby was on BBC ONE. Let's see if NBC wants to broadcast an xc meet for 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon.

I would point out that California runners probably aren't in great form right now compared to New Yorkers, but 20 seconds is too big a margin to write off, considering Touhy put 30+ seconsds on Chmiel all year. Touhy is better than Lane. And that will bear out during the track season.
Did lane just find out about the race this morning, pretty sure she had time to prepare, this is not a California thing.
DOn't get me wrong. Tone is often lost on the internet. I LOVE the event but it's not happening in the US without a huge financial backer. I thin our best hope is for Chris Lukezic to cash out on his airbnb holdings and then fund it.
Let's hope it continues in 2018. Anyone see this news?

Which team would he compete for then - Europe, GB or USA?
Top 8 men's results. My boy Derrick got SMOKED.

i 100 percent think there will be an event on in 2018 as it just happened and that article states it will happen just in a different place
I think the "Team Europe" is assembled anew each time from invitations from non-British top performers at the European Xcountry in December. Depending on schedule some of the very best apparently often decline the inviations, though, or are not even invited because they would not come anyway. (E.g. no Jakob Ingebrigtsen in the junior race.)

You never know when you're going to lose the magic, but it looks like he has.

You will have to Pay Up to watch it, probably with horrible camera work.
