I meant 1:10:40

Huge fan here. AK was my favorite runner even before her NYC breakthrough. What a life story and amazing comeback! She is absolutely killing it and approaching world class level. I predicted 1:10:44 on her IG after vastly underestimating her NYC performance. I’m a believer now. Go Allie!

Signs with Oiselle, becomes a winner. Sally wins again.
-
Great that she is proving that her NYC Marathon is not just a fluke.
-
Sally sells out and signs a NIKE footwear athlete.
Awesome performance from the breakout runner of the year. Congrats, Allie and team. -
Kieffer has quickly become the most significant runner named Allie, outshining a younger collegiate runner who may eventually have an even faster marathon PR.

Wow, well done. This story just keeps getting better. What’s the equivalent for that time with the full marathon? 2:25?

not 2:28:00...sorry. But she won by 2 minutes so presumably ran alone for ten miles at least. She definitely could've run faster, maybe even sub-70 if pushed all the way. So what is 70:00 equal to? About 2:29 probably. But her 2:29 in NYC is better than that. -

I was going to say 2:30-2:32. -

No way it's above 2:30. It's probably a shade below 2:28, in fact.
Does any know how hard this course was? -
TrackBot! VDOT 1:10:40 half marathon.

VDOT says it's equivalent to 2:27:50, which sounds about right given she went 2:29 on a tough NYC course. -

Yes 2:28:00 give or take a few seconds depending on your source (Thanks VDOT!)
That said, my half PR is 1:11 on a fairly tough course, but my full PR is 2:46 on a fast course, so “equivalence” is relative, obviously. -
No, it is your performance which is relative. 1:11 is no where near 2:46.
1:10 is worth 2:28. Kieffer is very consistent right now. -
Also, Kieffer beat Gemma Steele (PBs of 1:09/31:26) by two minutes.

You missed my point. We are in agreement. 1:10 == 2:28 as I stated originally. Someone disagreed with that, so my point was that maybe they felt that way because the times don't feel equal to them, and I was just using myself as an example -- I can't run marathons obviously. -
Yea pros should be a little better than the rest of us- double the half plus 6 minutes- 2:27. Running alone for a lot of it. She probably would'e broken 70 in Houston. She should get down to 2:25-2:26 in the right race. We're probably going to have to wait a while if she focuses on the 10k this spring and then NYC gets her again.

Could Allie Kieffer beat Konstannse Klistergjfosen at the 10k
