Yes, that's a good one too. I was running down a trail the other day and ahead of me was a young woman with headphones in. I said "on your left" before I got up to her, but she obviously didn't hear me. I said it louder, still nothing. Finally I basically shouted at her and still nothing.
I hopped off the trail to basically bushwack around her, and as I pass her, she jumps back and says "what the f*uk?!" in a surprised and scared manner. She then begins to yell at me that I need to tell people when I'm trying to pass, otherwise "it can be a dangerous and scary situation".
Why do people, especially hikers need to use headphones on trails? Where I live there are bears and mountain lions everywhere, not to mention mountain bikers, runners, hikers, and equestrians around every corner.
