It's not the 90s anymore. Fat from nuts and eggs is not unhealthy. It will keep you full. I used to be fat-phobic and wondered why I was hungry all the time. People have different nutritional needs as far as fat/protein/carb ratios go as well. I've tracked my own diet and find that I tend to eat closer to 50/30/20 and my running, energy and weight is better than back when I ate high carb/low fat. High carb might work if you are naturally thin (ex: Kenyan), just as low carb/high protein probably works better for people with large frames. Just remember that as long as people are different, they will argue with you, especially on LetsRun, so if you are truly concerned about your health, it's better to work with a professional.

Yeah...sure, if the animal protein is non-organic. ?

I didn't say nuts. I said eggs are unhealthy. The federal government/USDA will not allow egg companies to write that "eggs are healthy". You probably lost weight because you started eating less highly processed food with a bunch of refined sugar/oil....aka "real food." Cut calories...lose weight. Simple thermodynamics. People are always like "oh ice cream is so bad because of all the sugar (which it is), but what they forget to say is how bad all the fat (usually saturated) is in ice cream. And don't even get me started on casein.
.
Can you provide evidence that eating eggs (and only eggs) is unhealthy? As in evidence that someone who regularly eats eggs without bacon, sausages, and other unhealthy food that's typical of the American diet are unhealthy?
An egg has a little over half of what was once the recommended dietary cholesterol intake. If you still subscribe to this belief, (1) nowhere was it recommended to completely cut eggs out of your diet (2) not sure why you would subscribe to this belief since there is no longer a recommended cholesterol intake due to fact that, with the exception of diabetics, there is NO evidence that daily egg consumption causes heart disease.
Organic, free range eggs are certainly not unhealthy. One of the best sources of nutrition you can get.
You are going to put what you read in a U.S. News article against Nutritionfacts.org cited studies as say that is proof? Of course they will say "eggs can be part of a healthy diet." We could say "refined sugar can be part of a healthy diet...along with alcohol...in moderation." They can't say "eggs are healthy" directly. What magical thing is in eggs that make them so healthy and necessary in the human body? Eggs are full of fat and protein...which Americans usually get way too much of! Do we usually have a fat and protein deficiency problem? No! The real kicker is the choline. Of course we can't isolate single food items and say "this definitely causes cancer." I wouldn't trust everything the government says. There are lots of special interests and billions of dollars on the line here to brainwash most Americans into thinking dairy/eggs and beef are good for them and it needs to be "what's for dinner." Does it matter if you are a lean runner and eat eggs several times a week? Probably not. If you exercise and burn off the saturated fat you usually don't have to worry about cholesterol in your younger years. But for most Americans it is exactly the kind of thing that keeps heart disease, type II diabetes and cancer rates very high (along with obesity/stroke risk). Cancer risk in the future? Possibly. Just like casein protein (dairy).

I wasted my time looking at the article you linked to and IT IS NOTHING MORE THAN ONE DOCTOR'S MEDICAL BLOG. : "Home > Dr. Greger’s Medical Nutrition Blog > Why are Eggs Linked to Cancer Progression?" If you want to take that as your directive, good for you, but don't try to compare that to the words of the United States Health and Human Service's Dept.'s Assistant Secretary for Health.
Most importantly, do whatever you like. I think most readers herein have already formed an opinion as to your credibility, and lack thereof, and the suspect nature of your advice.
I am not conversing with you any further.

Cut out the eggs and dairy. Add in more veggies and fruits.
It is illegal for the FDA to say eggs are "healthy" (because they are not). That's why they are usually called "incredible and edible" in the commercials.
0/10 ?C'mon man!...eggs are healthy as long as they're organic. Non-organic animal proteins are loaded with antibiotics, growth hormones, vaccines & pesticide-laden feed to the animals (i.e., crap ?). That's what is unhealthy with animal proteins.
Remember: when you eat animal proteins you are what "they eat."
Learn it...and don't be cheesy posting nonsense like that! ?
You’re a straight up moron. -10/10 for your response. Try reading a book.
You’re seriously really naive and a puppet of the food industry.
At first glance, that study seems damning for meat eaters, however it fails to control for lifestyle factors. Vegetarians are more health conscious in all aspects of their lives, they don't smoke, they wear seat belts, they exercise more, and they go to the doctor more often, and those are the reasons they live longer, not the absence of meat. When you compare vegetarians to meat eaters who both have no lifestyle risk factors, the all cause mortality is the same, which seems to indicate the vegetarian diet does not actually improve longevity.

Meat is a health food, I agree. My doctor buys chickens from a farmer.

What book jerk? You're the pretentious wiseass talking about reading a book and you can't even post what fvcking information you're talking about. And I'm not talking about some stupid vegan-funded anti-animal protein literature (man...you wiseasses really ruin this forum).

No Sh*t. But the vegans & PETA supporters can handle the truth.

You ever see a sick looking tiger? No.
Today I opted for the 3 egg breakfast and it was awesome. However I researched it and apparently 3 eggs is like 500 mg of cholesterol. Maybe I should just eat eggs every other day so I stay under the 300 mg daily cholesterol limit. What do you guys think?
I don't buy most of these nutrition experts. There are no magic foods and evil foods. If you're fat, eat less. Calories in, calories out. Americans eat every meal (5 a day) until they are stuffed like it's Thanksgiving.
Go vegan, cut out the animal products for health, the environment, the animals...really tends to decrease recovery time too, so thats nice. Carb up - looks good but ditch the cow puss, chicken periods, and flesh.
I researched for about a month last year and found nothing that I could work with. I create my own meal plans in my daily planner https://onplanners.com/template/daily-planner-hourly-schedule-do-list -yes, it's old school:) I make a new one each week and add tags at the top (and to each recipe) to help me search for certain things I may want to repeat. By tags I mean I just have a section for words at the top that I want to turn up in a search (e.g., ‘vegan’).
Carbs are poison for humans and meat is the antidote. Run your body on the fuel that propelled our ancestors for 2.6 million years: meat, fish and eggs (and dairyfat if you can tolerate well). A healthy future for you and for our planet relies on it.
