I would be worried if I were Brooks Beasts athletes.
Pretty nice contracts, lots of support; not sure if it will last forever.

Seriously people, calm down. Running in and of itself is not a sport. Saying this does nothing to diminish anyone who actually competes in running as a sport. You sound like a bunch of overly dramatic teenage girls
"OMG did you HEAR what Becky said about Darlene?"
Put your big girl panties back on and start behaving and processing information like an adult.
This.
It seems that comments like this CEO's comment create a lot more angst among LetsRunners than it should.
Running = exercise. Millions run for this reason or to finish a distance with no goal of competition at all. I don't care whether a CEO defines himself as a runner or instead, as a person who runs. I don't care about the semantics of how he or she defines "sport." It doesn't affect how I see myself as a runner.
I teach HS, kids are always arguing about what is and isn't a sport.
I tell them when it's centered around competition it's a sport.
Running every day for health and not competing is not a sport. Training to compete it.
Cheer leading to support the school team is not a sport. Training for a cheer competition is.
So by your logic a Spelling Bee or Science Olympiad or HS Debate are all sports because they revolve around competition?
I'd agree with that. But competition + athletic performance = sport.
So yeah, a knitting competition is not a sport.
I called. I'd encourage everyone to do the same.
This is an Agenda post.
This thread has been dead for 4 months and someone dug it up with no new info. Ask yourself who and why?
Brooks sales are up over 20% YTD. All of this increase has others scrambling.
Have a Run Happy Day.
You want to be inclusive. Expand the definition of sport with relation to the sports product(running shoes/athletic wear) you are selling. When more things are sports you can sell more of your sports products because more people need them.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
