This current issue would be the perfect chance to hear from the Hansons. Too bad this board has alienated any of the players in the know and we are stuck with outsiders making silly accusations.

The T series is my favorite Brooks line of all time. They are out of their minds if they think this new Hyperion incarnation is comparable. RIP. Now I have to wear junk like the Adidas Adios and New Balance 1400. The T series really owned the niche for minimal shoes with a traditionally high offset, which was less of a niche and more of a huge demographic that nobody else was servicing and now there's like a complete void of products that meet the same criteria.
I sent Brooks an email with a link to this thread. I think some good things have been said here. They made good shoes with a decent toebox, and as we both mentioned, the T series was well-liked.
Please continue the discussion in the hopes that someone there will read this and respond. I'll let you know if/when they get back to me.
How does this new philosophy play with Hansons and the Beasts? Danny Mackey has already admitted publiclly that he is worried.

The Glycerin. The Ghost. The Launch.
It's a matter of time before the Launch is axed. It's been marked down 35-40% online for at least 6 months straight. Not a good sign the shoe is making them money. It's the only shoe worth using in their neutral lineup, IMHO. One more hit to us "real" runners.

What did Danny say and where?

If you run, you’re a runner. I don’t care how fast you run, don’t care how far you run, don’t care how frequent you run. IF YOU RUN, YOU ARE A RUNNER. ??♂️??♀️??♂️??♂️??♀️??♂️??♀️??♂️??♀️
Crazy from Nick Symmonds... saw him in Austin and it's funny because I don't think of him as a runner. He'll always be an 800m runner to me.
Also, my roommate worked for Brooks a few years ago. They announced in 2010 that they would be $1B by 2018, they obviously haven't grown much since then after a couple of years of flat performance.
Here from 2013 announcing $1B by 2020, obviously ain't gonna hit that..

I haven’t worn Brooks in yrs and just checked out Running Warehouse- looks like shoes from 2008. Not stylish or appealing to the masses. They need a complete overhaul to get mainstream to waar their shoes. What happened to their Pure shoe line?

So..... you don't think of him as a runner, but you do?
Nevermind, saw some Pure shoes. From a style standpoint Nike, Adidas, and maybe New Balance look the best. They sell mainstream for a reason. All the other brands are goofy/quirky/inferior materials.
I actually prefer the looks of Brooks and New Balance over all other brands. However, Brooks CEO has lost my business with the "not a sport" comment. I believe he owes the running community an apology.

I agree with Nick, not sure I understand how excluding people from an activity that they want to be associated with will help sell more product for Brooks. At one time I thought Brooks claimed to be the inclusive brand.

Brooks marketing has always been pathetic, but the shoes are great!

I'll say this for Adidas: their equipment line in the mid-90s was incredible. I wore the equipment cushion for several years and still consider it to be one of the finest trainers ever made.
this was my fav shoe .

Can you blame them for wanting to make money? But how will it effect their product?

They want to make that kind of money and they keep Kevin and Keith Hanson on the payroll. Great move.
Little Debbie does 1.4 BILLION DOLLARS a year!!
The Hansons will be dropped. Everything that resembles being competitive will be dropped. Danny Mackey will be homeless in 2 years. The PR Meet is next to be gone.
