Nevada was brave to make a stab at Stanford, and she is brave -- maybe even braver -- to have made a decision to return to NC. So-called "failures" (failures as viewed through the eyes of narrow-minded outsiders sometimes) often lead to greener pastures. Happens in everybody's life. Who among us has the perfectly on-the-rise path upwards in life? NONE. Most of us learn by doing, learn by taking risks, learn from success, learn from falling short of expectations, and learn to adapt. Especially because of social media, and this forum, when you're resume is stellar, like Nevada's, you can be an easy target for anyone wanting to fire off zingers, whether anonymous or not.
Good for Nevada for making a decision which she feels is best for her.
Who fired a zinger? Is this the best move for her education, future job prospects?

Judy Pendergast to Oregon
Wonder if Mr. Frazier, who ruined his own kids future development was part of this stupid decision?

Courtney Smith to Stanford, too, though who knows if she'll ever run again.
With that name she should of went UN Reno or UNLV
I'm surprised she didn't transfer to UNM. Transfers always find new life there.

Same here, like Wesley's Frazier's transfer to NC State from Duke so she could go back to training with her Dad on the side. Not saying it was a bad decision, maybe a good one, but it seems likely as Mr. Frazier was her HS coach. Maybe she just wanted to go back home. I mean Standard is on the complete opposite side of the country.
Is she redshirted this year?
Duke thinks they're Ivy but they aren't. NC state is a good school. Great vet school and basic sciences. I don't think anything can beat the Harvard to Oregon move.
We should start a thread with kids who actually ran faster in college after being coached by their parents.

That would be a very short thread.
Agree.
What an ignorant and utterly ridiculous statement.
just maybe the problem isn't the parent.

The expression is “could have” or the contraction “could’ve”. Come on man!

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
