    Getting a deposit account is easy at Gemini. After one ACH Gemini bumped me up to unlimited domestic wire transfers. I wired quite a bit and bought ETHs and XBTs. But Gemini makes it hard to transfer out. You have to go through KYC and AML procedures. I did and can transfers to other exchanges now o.k.

    Pimply faced teens and lower middle class love to gamble in crypto crap. The US stock market returns under trump so far aren't enough for them and/or they have no money in the market because they are too dumb. But dumb people like to get greedy and foolish with their money so unrealized gains in crypto is appealing .

    Cryptos tanked today. Not sure why. Any thoughts?

    Stellar XLM seems to have gone down the most at 34% so far. Will buy a lot once it bottoms out.

    Stellar XLM seems to have gone down the most at 34% so far. Will buy a lot once it bottoms out.


    Bought a good amount of Stellar @ .30 ..... It' went down because it shot up to .95 cents at one point in like 24hrs.... will probably settle again around .50-60 Thats what these things do, you can always count on a 20-40% pull back once they jump 100-300% People sell off when they blast off.... Then buy again when the dip.

    Because bitcoin went up. When that happens, people take their money out of alts and put it in bitcoin. Once bitcoin stops, the money will come back into alts. It is extremely predictable.

    Agreed. Nows the time to jump on coins with good fundamentals that you may have missed when they dipped earlier. Ripple, Monero, Ada, burst, redd . Monero close to November 2017 prices.

    I wish I had a way to get funds into crypto quickly. Still waiting on Gemini verification. Today's looking like basically a guaranteed 30% return once the dip bottomed out

    Open account on Coinbase and use a credit card to deposit the funds. Should be available almost immediately. If you use a bank account or debit card it will hold the funds. Buy your coin. Open account on Binance. Shouldn’t need to wait to verify. Transfer the coin over to Binance. YouTube videos will show the steps. You’re up and running.

    Would anyone go in on funfair still. It’s at all time highs despite today’s dip.

    Also is today the day to go in on OMG. This looks like a hodl rather than a trade.

    Got in in November, hard to find a moonshot now. Any recs on the small market cap coins with good fundamental function?

    I haven’t participated in a fork before. I own zclassic and understand I should get equivalent number of btcp coins. Will they magically appear in my wallet or is there some process to get the btcp? I’m on Bittrex and just hoping the current zclassic wallet maintenance on Bittrex is in preparation for this fork.

    Also, anyone else try to download the zclassic wallet? It’s been impossible on a Mac

    I also tried to download the wallet but haven't been successful.

    I'm somewhat concerned that Bittrex hasn't announced whether they will be supporting the fork or not, but I'm not ready to find another place for my ZCL.

    Check out Bittrex.

    Downside is you need to convert to bitcoin as an intermediate when exchanging alts.

    Gemini may be a good Coinbase alternative.

    Yesterday was quite the day of trading. Some quick thoughts and lessons learned:

    1.) Price alerts. These would be nice for knowing when a coin reaches some threshold. Even text/call if overnight. Also autosell/buy in a convenient setup.

    2.) Intuition. Know your coins. I know NEO is usually slow to respond, so I got rid of all of mine upon waking to find it 20% down. It's still down somewhat today.

    3.) As a poster here said, buy legit coins after a dip. They will rise first, before the moonshots.

    4.) Diversify. I had one of the few coins that went up during the dip. This kept my losses to around 20% overnight as opposed to 35%.

    5.) Watch prices closely during big moves. The price fluctuations I've seen aren't crazy enough to warrant high speed trading. You can do this by eye, I think. I watched as the price crash bottomed out and prices started going up again.

    6.) During a crash, sell high performers to buy crashed coins. Pretty obvious

    7.) It'd be nice to have instant cash to crypto capabilities. I'd have invested new funds into the likes of DigiByte and Stellar. May be worth keeping BTC LTC or ETH in an exchange for this purpose.

    Although I woke up yesterday to find myself 20% down, I managed to come out positive using the above.

    That’s all good advice. I did pretty well buying the dips yesterday but it allowed me to buy some of the ones I thought I had missed. Just as a psychological benefit I like to compare the dip Price to a previous time when that price was available. For instance, if I was disappointed I didn’t buy Ada a month ago, well this is my chance to get it at that price and alleviate that regret.

    I agree with buying standards and holding. I have a few moonshots, but ether, btc, have still been my biggest gains.

    I found that Gemini is secure and extremely easy. I store all my bitcoin and ether there then transfer btc to Bittrex for altcoins.
