There aren't that many to recommend. There aren't that many Running films to recommend even.
"Fire on the Track" is decent.
"Running Brave" is based on the Billy Mills story.
"Chariots of Fire" is based on a true story.
Gun Runners. Wonderful story.
20 plus years ago, my coach gave me a VHS documentary chronicling every mile world record holder from Bannister to Cram. Excellent film. If I remember correctly, film closed with Bannister walking Iffley Road track with Morceli shortly before Morceli broke Cram's record.
I've never seen the film pop up on YouTube. Hopefully, somebody remembers the name of the film or how to find it.
Fire on the Track is a good documentary about Pre--better than either of the Pre movies.

I agree with Patti. This is a good and surprising one!
Ultra haters are gonna hate, but "Unbreakable" is an awesome documentary of an awesome race. The way Geoff Roes came back from 15min behind Krupicka to smoke him in the final miles is the stuff of legend.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
