i think its weird. imho
I teach in a public HS and know a number of students in my classes that are really bright and smart. Others in my class are very strange and not too smart.
We homeschool our kids and always have. My daughter got a 30 on the ACT as a sophomore. She is taking college classes as a junior. She runs for a local club with other homeschoolers. S ha her own photography business.
The great thing about homeschooling is that my kids can sleep in later, get their school done in 2-3 hours, and then do other things that interest them (robotics, a job, reading, photography, etc.) If properly done, it works great.
