And to all you slow people, he can run your pace for even longer. What's your point?

Everyone knows he's doping....IDIOT
Who cares, the man can run faster, he has genes that allow him to do that. Does that make him better than u or I ? Does he save lives, is he a great human being, what is he going to do with the $ he earns from running, is he go to spend it lavishly on himself or use that $ to better than world ? As you grow older it is ok to reflect and be proud I ran fast as a young man but at some point you recognize running fast isn't a big deal, its simply putting one foot in front of the other quicker than others. There are more important things in life. Use your running as a 'springboard' to other greater achievements.
Americans don't have to be competitive with the best in world in order to make a reasonable living as marathoners ... Nike'll pay more for an 2:10 American than for a 2:05 Kenyan or Ethiopian...

Yes, we know that. So does any 2:06 guy. They are at a different level, no big deal. They do their thing, we do ours.
We're all trying to break 2:30, but it's a jog for these guys. Shows our limits.

Should be 28:32-28:36 10k guys
His PR is 26:49 - roughly 1:45 slower for a full marathon. It would be like a 29:00 guy pacing 30:45 (4:56 per mile or around 2:10 for a marathon) per 10k.
Just sayin'
What's your point?
Basically, you stop doing anything you aren't the best in the world at? Sounds like a real reasonable way to go through life.
I guess if he never breaks the real world record, it was pointless for him to ever take up running right?
you sound like your jealous
Cool, you must have some inside info. Care to share?
As I’m sitting here eating my mcdonalds for the 5th time this week, I gotta say I’m probably a lot happier than kipchoge.

Seems unlikely. Kipchoge strikes me as quite a satisfied person.
Actually that’s probably his training pace for 2 hours.
Yeah sure!!!! And a 2:48 Marathon guy can run 20' 5K guy pace for almost 3 hours!!!!!!!
This is even more difficult not 2 hours but.......3 hours !!! Wow!
Everything in the world is relative

It's time to give it up and start walking the street.
"Stater of hidden truths", I wouldnt be surprised if you have never broken 15, dont try to make guys feel bad for barely holding kipchoges fake marathon pace.
Most people on LR haven´t run anywhere near a 15 min 5k. Do you want me to tell you the old LR joke again (sub-14 5k runners, 200k income and married to models)?

Let's bring it down a notch. Hey 1500 guys who can't run sub 4:16 without spikes. I know a marathoner who can run that pace for a whole marathon.
Yes he can.
With pacers the entire way.
Behind a Tesla.
On a pancake-flat course.
With springy shoes.
What a hard-earned achievement for Kipchoge, huh!

Fixed your title. Should read: 14:30 guys
Actually 14:16 - 14:18. That's what the pace is per 5k for a 2:00:25.
The real question should be: How long could Kipchoge run at 15:00 5k pace?
I say, with pacers and the same set up as Breaking2, probably around 60km/37 miles.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
