Fans don't need or want proof. I blame Santa clause, the tooth fairy and religion. Idolisation. We train children to believe in myths and that it's wrong from them to require proof to believe unbelievable things: you just need to believe. Kilian's fans do not require proof of anything, if he says he made it to the top, that's all a true fan needs. All any expert is ever going to be able to say is that he can't prove that he made it to the top. A fan's response "that doesn't mean he didn't, and he says he did, so I think he did." That's how this story plays out. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. Climbing Everest is ridiculous and pointless anyway.

Obviously nobody here cares but you. That's why there was 9 days without a post.
Did he made to the top in 3:11:45? That would explain the lack of photos, much too fast for a photo.

There ain't no Sanity Clause.
Kilian is abusing people with his Everest fraud.
He is deceiving tens of millions of people worldwide.
He did this in early 2017 on Cho Oyu
Here is the report proving his multiple fraud claims regarding Cho Oyu.

Very true.
I guess it's just like religion. No amount of reasoning works with a religious person if they are 100 % committed to believing virgins have babies and men rise from the dead. They just totally believe it and it doesn't matter if there's zero proof, or that it's utterly ridiculous.
All the running scammers have a cult-like following. Remember Rob Young?
Even when his own sponsors came out and said he cheated, still his faithful followers refused to believe it!
With Kilian being good, this is going to be VERY easy to scam!
Anyhow, WHERE IS THIS MOVIE????
Here you go, an interview with Dan Howitt regarding the apparent climbs:
Haha the article had me until it referred to letsrun as well respected

That Athletics Illustrated interview was in my opinion much more balanced than the Ian Corless one with Jornet. Howitt makes a strong case with all the evidence he gathered for the invalidation of Jornet's claims. How can there be any talk of a record with such shoddy evidence?
Regarding the possibility of Jornet's Suunto f'ing up, that's always a possibility in any situation but it certainly doesn't say anything good about Jornet's sponsor if his Suunto watch epically fails in both Everest attempts.
Thanks.
Here is a bit of a rebuttal:
When in contact with Jornet’s office, his press attaché Laura Font wrote, “After Kilian returned from Nepal, he was interviewed by the Himalayan Database, the expedition archives of Elizabeth Hawley. Kilian’s ascents were validated by this institution, which is considered the maximum authority to certificate ascents on the Himalayas. Lately, Rodolphe Popier, also from the Himalayan Database team has conducted further investigation reaching out the same conclusion.
Is this true? Do you have information on how Elizabeth Hawley and Rodolphe Popper conducted their investigations and what evidence they have to reach their conclusions? Dan Howitt and this thread have been pretty open with pointing out Jornet's "evidence" issues and yet those somehow those two came to a complete opposite conclusion with nothing that I've seen published? It would be very interesting if you are able to get some quotes from them about this. This does not sit well with me at all. It calls into question their competence.
Hi,
Those are not my words. I was quoting from the person that I was in communication with.
I have no idea if it is true, beyond taking her word for it.
The headline states that the camp is "adamant".....doesn't mean they are right or wrong.....
Cheers,
C

Was it Dan? I was thinking some EF stalker/fan who definitely has some issues. That was just weird and creepy.
Note that we shouldn't post personal emails in this thread. The mods don't like to have personal email addresses posted.

That is because the morans who post them are posting other people's email addresses without their knowledge. It is time for the laws to add doing that as a hate crime.

This whole thread is weird and creepy. It's legit to question Kilian's summit, but jeez, someone has really become unhinged and obsessed here. Disturbing.

Reminder that doxxing is not permitted (I can cite the post where that is stated by wejo) and if this doesn't settle down the thread will be deleted.
