So my wife wants to get a pilot's license, I suppose out of sheer boredom and a latent inferiority complex.
Usually I support her aspirations, because the life of a stay-at-home mom can be quite unfulfilling for some women. When she wanted a dog, I got her a beautiful husky. When she wanted to see the tropics, I booked a vacation to Tahiti. When she wanted to learn about our wildlife, I took her on a hunting-trip.
But getting a pilot's license? It's just too much, and not only money-wise. My wife has terrible orientation (she's not able to use a map) and, atypical for women, is not able to multitask. I'm convinced it is physically impossible that she can ever become a pilot. Also statistics is heavily weighted against her, since most pilots are men.
But she won't listen to my arguments. What can I do to get this madness out of her head?
