Even Alberto still has a faster PB than Galen. Suguru is the first to break Alberto's "2:08:13" (Mo didn't)

Congrats to Renato. You did a great job with Sondre.
Actually I take that back, I forgot about Ritzenhein's 2:07:47 which must be the so called "Nike Oregon Project record"

Boom.
https://twitter.com/letsrundotcom/status/937191416379396097What a race.
And Rupp goes back to his customary place as second fastest guy in his training group.
https://twitter.com/JRNLive/status/937189100297138176That's a bit of a joke. Anyone who thinks this isn't a great sign that Rupp can run fast is a fool but it is fun for Rupp to be way behind in a PR so the trolls can have some fun.
Somebody at NOP quicker than Rupp. Very soon Osako will part ways with Salazar, that certainly isn't Rupp-certified.
Anyone have a link to a live results page?
Holy crap someone please tell me there's a video of the race somewhere online. Someone here has to find out if this guy ever raced at the international level before, to go from no name to sub 2:06 is a hell of a fishy thing

So apparently he ran a 59:46 half marathon in October, am I crazy or did no one here see that because I feel like that should of been a big thing but I don't remember reading about it

Yeah you're crazy. It was big news here
13:20 this summer. I think he ran 13:30 in 2011, being injured for long periods of time since. Had foot surgery at some point (problems with tendons in toes).
Yeah Let's Run left Ritz off the list of NOP times. They don't like to admit he was a cheat just like the others. Just like Ryan Hall and his Dr Brown Thyroid enhanced times and just like this Moen guy who goes and trains in Kenya with Renato and suddenly becomes a world beater. Please they are all cheats the lot of them!

Galen “2:10” Rupp can win Chicago but would be a mile back from the winner in this “B Level” race. Odd.
Galen’s a 2:10 guy at his core. Running 2:10 marathons is what he does, and that ain’t gonna change any time soon. When 2:10 happens to give him a good ranking in a race, he’s pleased but doesn’t want to do any better. He’s fundamentally satisfied running 2:10 races repeatedly, because he’s a 2:10 guy and that’s what 2:10 guys do.
How did Parker Stinson do?

Online Coach J.S. called it on page 1.

Is Fukuoka records-eligible?
No, there was a hurricane behind them.
Thanks for posting the video. Great run by the Norwegian, little disappointing from Karoki but hopefully he'll improve with experience.
Ha! JS calls Moen FTW. Surprised Canova didn't call him an idiot for that.

Well, to be fair, I posted about his Norwegian record in Hannover and that thread got roughly 3 replies. Granted, that was a 2.10, but the point is that Moen outperforms athletes who enjoy far more acclaim and attention. Maybe that is a good thing
Soft-spoken Sondre used to sell shoes in a local running store. Amazing to see this now.
