Anyways, we haven't seen a race effort from Tuohy yet, and I predict Theis will upset Lane at FL.

I have seen Claudia Lane race and she is phenomenal. I haven’t seen Katelyn Tuohy run, so I can’t say for myself how good she is. People are going to support whoever they have seen race, and everybody just watched NXN. That means everybody will think Tuohy is better. Wait until after Footlocker to decide who is better because once we all see Lane destroy the field, our arguments might be a little more fair. Tuohy could be better for all I know, but I just haven’t seen her run in person.

No bias, len wrote:
Tuohy beat Castillo by 52 seconds in the same race at NXN.
Lane beat Castillo’s time by 45 seconds on the same course but running with temps about 10 degrees hotter in the mid 70s versus mid 60s.
There has been nothing to indicate anything other than these two girls being very close to one another in fitness.
I believe the reason people think Tuohy would destroy Lane is simply because Tuohy has a more aesthetically pleasing stride. The clock doesn’t care about that.
Actually the reason is Nike puffery.
Thanks to Katelynne Hart, we now have clear national winners for both girls AND boys:Tuohy and Troutner

Both Tuohy and Lane looked unbeatable. Then again if Grace Ping had been healthy, she might also be in the mix. Need to get all three in a 5K on the track next spring... get this decided.

That Theis prediction was a bit off, eh?
