Anyone else notice that his english seems noticeably worse??????
Also, I still hate that he tries to be vague and tactical in his conversations.... You're not in college anymore, you don't need to dance around questions for "strategic purposes"
good riddance Ches

Nah. He's noticeably more comfortable with English, but his accent is still very strong and you aren't paying enough attention to understand him.
He answers vaguely because he's not great at interviews, and he probably doesn't really know the details of what he's going to do.
Thanks for posting, I guess that dispels the rumor that he's done with the track
The new Ryan Hall took the early lead.

I love this guy. He is only a rookie and already he does not give a crap about doing well in an interview. Lots of confidence.

I don't know how legit the course is, but Cheserek is certainly fit right now.
What I find amazing about these results is that it appears each runner ran twice, and each person ran the exact same time the second time
I would assume it was cut and pasted here from the results on the website, which have displayed the gun time and chip time for each runner. In the case of the elites, that should be the same since they get to start at the actual starting line. For slower runners, it could be a few seconds to much longer different, depending how far back they had to start.
You asked the right questions - good job.

I interviewed Ches after the race.
People complaining about "going to the roads"...that's because there's a lot more $$$ on the roads!
Second race as a pro, he ran 5th ave.
I ran a road race yesterday and won looks like I’ll never break 1:47. I guess I should just stick to watered down 5k races.
He's gonna end up training in Mammoth Lakes.
The course is four flattish 1200-meter loops. and it is USATF certified. Road races are never track fast but it's probably within 15 seconds of a track 5000 time for the best runners.

He is just another Kenyan. No biggie. There are dozens like him who could have done what he did.

Yep. I remember the race with Galen Rupp. 2010. He finished 2nd (13:39) .... to Alan Webb(13:36). Exact same course they ran today. Guess you dummies would have said his track career was over?
