Ok that confirms it, you're either a pretty good troll or just a f'ing nut job, there is no middle ground at this point. Which one is it?
I've been trying to figure this out for years, and I'm still undecided.

It's a win for the forum either way. We either have ourselves a troll with once-in-a-generation skills, or someone so amazingly righteous that he'll go the rest of his life unwittingly providing limitless entertainment to others in social situations thanks to his sensitivities.
It's as if he is trying to channel the Will Ferrell character from the "dysfunctional family" skits on SNL 15+ years ago.
http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/dysfunctional-family-dinner/n11072?snl=1I don't think he's trolling. He has basically identified himself and he's from California. Seems like if someone were going to have this perspective, it would be a Californian, although I would've guessed Northern California instead of San Diego.
The question we’ve all been asking: Where was the Cranberry Sauce Boss this year?
I’m going to willfully choose to believe he was reincarnated as the Manassequah Turkey Trot Facebook Promoter and wrote the post in question. You can’t convince me otherwise.
This is a great question. I have done the Carlsbad 5000 eleven times. About where to stand...the Carlsbad 5000 is a highly competitive run where the expectations are that everyone should know where to start since the flat and fast nature is conducive to a PR if you are on that day. Those who do the 5000 know that if they are going to walk, there is a people's walk which happens before the elites race so that nobody gets in someone's way. I expect this for Carlsbad and the intense nature of the event. However, Carlsbad is like the gateway to spring racing and does not fall on a family-friendly holiday. Thanksgiving turkey trots are essentially fun runs with a clock. The expectation is that, while it is nice to PR.....you are less likely to do so in a turkey trot. My problem is that it stripped the fun aspect out of the run..... And I am true to myself....as I said earlier, I set a PR in the 10k.....but to do so, I had to dodge 3 kids who stopped or turned around on the course and weave around people who did not realize that the pace for which they lined up was too quick. But, this is to be expected because it is a fun event. In the 5k afterward, many people misjudged their pace and so be it...we all got a run in before feasting. Leave competitive tone for competitions that matter and leave fun events fun. Mike
But where do you start? wrote:
Are you against the attempt at humor or against the fact that slower runners should start at the back?
If you run at Carlsbad 5000, do you feel slighted by the 5:00 and under pace sign for runners at the front?
Do you ever start at the front even if you may not belong there?
How dare you say that people should know where to start. You think slow people should "know their place"? How about blacks? How about women? You think they should "know their place", too? Furthermore, people should be able to walk, run, skip, or crawl as they see fit, without you projecting your arbitrary standards onto them. Lastly, shame on you for judging the significance an event may have to someone else. Just because an event is "fun" for you doesn't mean it isn't "competitive" for someone else.
You disgust me.
.....yet, I am still correct
I am so here for this argument

lol okay.
I see eye-to-eye with the Jeff only 2 out of 3 times, but I'm just thoroughl, and without reservation, entertained by his sublime work here today.
Well done, the Jeff. Well done.
And thank you for facilitating Mike. Every artist needs his muse.
This thread is epic.
It has brought three of LRC’s greatest trolls (Stoppit Smith, theJeff, and Smoove) into one winner-take-all battle royale.
Just sit back and watch the show, LRC.
Problem... I have never been a troll. Thanks

Whoa, whoa, whoa . . .
4th & 5th places in the race are wearing the race shirt. That debunks the only hobby jogger myth.
As far as trolling goes, The Jeff is a 15-flat guy, Smoove is a 18:00 wannabe, and Stoppit is a 27:00 hobbyjogger.

It would be less sad if you were. Also, please learn to write in paragraph form. There is really no need to hit Enter twice at the end of each sentence. It is a waste of paper when I turn this in to my Psychology of SpEd class. Fwiw, they find you truly fascinating.

I maintain that Smoove in a different event.

I think Mike is being honest here. I think he’s just really stupid and not intending to troll at all. Stop picking on the Mike everyone; he’s just not smart and you’re all being mean to the guy who’s rides the short bus.
