Such a fascinating case.

1) Article says he has admitted to police he held a box cutter to an athlete's throat in his office and choker her and says they had a romantic relationship.
2) He and his wife have sued that very same athlete.
Wouldn't one think the wife would be upset about his relationship with the student?
Anyone watch the 20/20 episode tonight on the former Ariz throws coach?

Arizona, not Arizona State

Look at this quote from the article.

The state is paying for Carter's defense in the civil suit against him and the university, and as of the end of September, his legal bills had risen to nearly $640,000
The taxpayers of Arizona should be outraged. Think about it. The lawyer has no incentive to keep the bills down. Nor does the accused- Carter. How do you rack up 640k in fees for a civil defense suit? Or does that include his counter suit against the victim and the victim's lawyer for defamation?
Instead of paying $640k to lawyers, they should have just settled. How much of a pay day is the victim going for?
Regarding his criminal trial, it says he turned down a plea deal of 1-3 years and now he's facing eight and 27.5 years in prison. -

They apparently make a great couple in the douchebag and douchebagette HOF. -
Do you guys think his wife bought him that turtleneck? If so, I can see why he would cheat as a way to escape her tyranny. The whole ordeal was probably his way of acting out against his wife, he should use that in his defense.
Do you guys think he bought that turtleneck for himself? If so, he is clearly innocent. No man who buys himself a turtleneck sweater is capable of any wrongdoing. It was probably his way of crying out for help when he realized he was an accountant stuck in a thrower's body. -
