Skip to 1:12:40 to get quite a bit frustrated with all the things they get wrong about distance running. That being said, they're quite high at this point in the podcast, having smoking a few j's.

I've never been impressed by Rogan's podcasts that I've heard and have always been curious why some of my friends really like him. But any non-runner is going to butcher trying to talk about Shalane's NYC win for any extended period of time.
No interest in listening to them, but it's nice to see "normal" people taking about it - its good for the sport.
Rogan is a meathead.
He does have a lot of knowledge when it comes to certain things like mma.
Lol him getting confused that when a woman winner is written in a headline that he thought it meant overall.
The one guy was able to calculate that if you do 6 miles in an hour you are running 10 minute miles. Then somehow thinks 11 minute miles will get you under 2hours for a half marathon. Ok.

I've listened to a number of his podcasts I feel like he's really torn as a person and has a serious internal battle going on. It's the meathead, crude, dope smoking, gutter mentality, bro party dude at odds with a thoughtful guy who appreciates virtue, wisdom, health, etc. I see it manifested in his actual body. Here is a guy who religiously works out and kind of obsesses on food, "health", etc. But this same guy does all of that in the morning then stays out all night getting wasted and eating crappy foods, etc. Look at his body and his FAT head. He doesn't look all that healthy to me.
You forgot to mention his steroid use, allegedly.
If you want to see real ignorance about running, read most of the comments to this article. Also, according to the author, Alberto Salazar was the last American to win in New York, presumably because Americans born in Cuba are real Americans but Americans born in Eritrea aren't. Or maybe the author was as high as Joe Rogan.

Looks like someone was just wanting to write about how much NYC has changed over time.
As for the issue about where someone was born, the same can be said about this message board as it comes up often enough here.

The meanness and stupidity of the Breitbart community never ceases to amaze. The author rambles incoherently about NYC being a long-time hellhole rather than talking about Shalane. In the comments, many people call Shalane a tranny. Others call her unhealthy. Some are angry that this is being treated as newsworthy at all because women aren't as fast as men. And then there's the contingent who somehow view her marathon win as a victory for Trump and a blow to liberals.
I'm impressed that Shalane beat all of the men in the NYC marathon, including that Nigerian guy.

Wow. I thought I was embarrassed by fellow posters here, but the commenters on that article are a whole other level. Almost all of them seem miserable to have a beer with or try to hold a conversation with.

This comment was pretty funny though:

Saw a NYC comedian sketch saying the NYC marathon is racist because it's thousands of white guys chasing five black immigrants through the streets of NYC.
Not alleged -- he openly admits that he's on testosterone and growth hormone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGMvMP6qJ8k
Oh for sure there were a couple of funny responses amongst the vast sea of wet blankets, idiots, and bitter psychotics.
The author removed the part about Salazar being the last American who won after I emailed him and told him that Meb won in 2009.

Into the memory hole without noting the correction--but a silent correction is still better than leaving the misinformation.
Those guys are so f***ing stupid I can't believe anyone would waste any of their precious minutes of life listening to them.

Come on man, surely you didn't think an author at Breitbart would want to note the accolades of an American named Mebrahtom.
Joe Rogan buying into Wim Hoff's pseudoscience bullshit is more frustrating to me.
Here is a gem of a response on the brietbart article:
"I am a woman and I’m not a feminist but I don’t have a problem with women doing things they like to do or jobs for that matter, as long as they can physically do them. I don’t think female firefighters or coast guard people or fighting in combat situations are a good idea. But running a marathon? Does that really bother you that much? She won, period. Deal with it, skippy."
She doesnt believe women should be in the coast guard, but "doesnt have a problem" with women running a marathon. How enlightened!
