There's something strange about this video and the recent article about Adams "depth." It doesn't seem like the journalist behind either of them had any interest in putting out a high-quality and well-researched piece.
Regarding the depth article, it just seems totally off base regarding both the current team and historic Adams teams. Don't get me wrong, Adams has a good team this year. With Kale Adams and Gidabuday coming back, combined with how they peaked last year, it's tough to think they aren't still the best team in the country. I'd still have them at close to even money to win a title. But I don't think their depth is anything to write about. In fact, it may be one of their weaker years in terms of depth. At Paul Short they had a 53 second gap between their 4th and 5th runner. Add Gidabuday to that team and they likely win Paul Short, so they are an excellent team, but not particularly deep, especially by Adams standards. And while the concept of the article is a head-scratcher, the use of 2012 as the deepest Adams team is even more confounding. Was the journalist unwilling to look back more than 5 years? Adams 2009 team is basically the dictionary definition of depth. That team had guys who were fighting for a spot on the team and finished top 10. They probably could have run a split squad and finished 1-2 in the team standings. That team was DEEP! 2012 was a solid team, 2017 is a solid team, but acting like those two are among the best Adams teams ever just shows an astonishing level of ignorance about Adams.
As for the video, how can you title a video "Success Breeds Success" after a team basically handed away a conference title? Was FloTrack even paying attention? I really can't imagine a dumber title for a program that willingly lost a championship race 10 days earlier. I could understand a video titled "Only one race matters for the Grizzlies!" That video could address, how Adams was able to win last year after losing conference and regionals, and how historically that's happened frequently between Adams and Mines recently and Western in the past.
I know the brojos have criticized FloTrack in the past for not disclosing content that was paid for. I have to wonder if that's the case here because I can't imagine any self-respecting and aspiring journalist putting either of these pieces of trash together unless they were just filling a requirement for some paid content. Is it possible that Adams is paying FloTrack to produce and publish recruiting material? That would explain why the journalists are half-assing the reporting.

It’s great to see Elias. I’m not sure of the backstory on where he’s been all these years, but good on him for putting his heart into this.

He went to Lane Community College and ran a fall of Cross Country there before he left school. Showed up at Trinidad State last year competing for them. It would seem like he finally has his academic issues sorted out, so that is a good thing.
Based on the tone of the comments in the video it seems like Flotrack filmed this either in the preseason or early season. They probably sat on it until now to use it as a sort of Conference/Regionals hype piece. Nothing wrong with that.
Also, Adams lost the RMAC. They didn't forfeit.
They do not pay flotrack. However, sometimes companies will sponsor a workout Wednesday or something like that and say “hey go do it on our group __________”. I don’t remember seeing the video have any specific sponsor, but still could be New Balance saying, go do a video on a school who wears our stuff.
Did you see the South Central Regional results?

Consistent pattern:
1) Stupid crap posted about Adams
2) People run their mouths about Adams losing races that don't matter
3) Adams wins nationals handily
Case in point, this year... all runners inside the top 17 at natty's, scoring 44 points and blowing everyone else out of the water despite their best runner being injured. Nationals is all that matters, boys...
Impressive they did it with Gidabuday as their 5th man.
