Question- was Dibaba a DNS? don't see her
Quite a bit of shifting around in the men's pack, Abdi in the lead. A lot of looking around.

oh, that's possible, I didn't think about that. those guys looked like they were running pretty fast though and their race numbers were low. aren't 5 boro challenge people not so fast?

Yeah, the 5 boro challenge runners are Foot Locker employees. I doubt they would be able to keep up with the leaders, even for 1km.
WTF another human interest piece?

Looked like Kipsang missed his bottle at the aid station, stopped dead in his tracks and turned around to grab it, which caused Abdi to crash into him and fall down. DQ for Kipsang!
Umm. Wouldn't it be like a car accident? If you hit someone from behind, it's always your fault.
Umm. If a car slams on its breaks, does a U turn, drives towards you in heavy traffic, and you can’t get out of the way, is it still your fault?

The blue tape is separating to race courses -- there are two start lines and the courses are kept separate for eight miles to make up the difference in distance.
by crossing over, the sub- or local-elites that crossed over either cut the course or added to their distance.
This is correct, except there are three start lines.
I'm pretty sure the guys who crossed over madethe course shorter. The blue/elite wave starts further back than the others. The others have to make an extra turn or two just before they merge so that's where the distance is made up.

At least not much is happening now. Cannot blame them for making an interest piece with an attractive runner from a place recovering from a tragic natural disaster.
The cric stream, but nothing's working for me. Probably my computer's not set up for it.

That's fine, but do it before the race. You don't see them cutting during the first quarter of a crappy Browns game.
Age grouper in the lead around mile 2 on the men's side! Couple others in the lead pack with him! Yesss! Meb found his shoes I think
Men:
5km 16:15
10km 31:55 (15:40)

Actually, often during the Sunday night baseball games ESPN will show some dumb interest story. That annoys me more as you are almost guaranteed to miss some action.
Mary Keitany is running at "saving something for Tokyo" pace for some reason.
