Nick Symmonds. He might be retired from track, but the dude hikes mountains, chugs beer, spits in the establishment's face and won 6 US titles in the 800.
Rupp is gangsta
Exactly. Idk why more people don't see the gangster that nick symmonds walks around with. Don't be confused by the blonde hair and spandex.

Droddy and Phoebe Wright are the correct answers.
The fact that you feel that you need to insult someone like Droddy shows how cool he really is. In fact, he would probably shake your hand and buy you an Indiana brew for your troubles. Droddy is great for this sport. And as for the other coolest one: Meb Everybody loves Meb.

A loser hipster who think looking interesting = being interesting. Hint. It doesn't high school fan boys.
I will add one more whom I have met and I personally think he is cool even if he is retired:
Bernard Lagat.
One of the nicest runners ever.
yup, you get it.. wrote:

A lily white boy from Idaho is a gangster?
He's a dope
Anyone who doesn't say NOAH DRODDY is insane.
ossama meslek. 3.42 and cool as phuck
Seconding both Symmonds and Lagat. I think Nick definitely wants to see T&F grow and is actually trying to do something about it, and Lagat comes across as extremely personable and an inspiration to be running so freaking fast at 40+.
I like Droddy too, has a personality. Really anyone that openly talks about their training is cool. I like Sage for coming on here and taking constant heat but still willing to provide his insight as a guy that has actually run fast.
The late David Torrence would definitely have made the list too.

Ben Blankenship seems tight.
With Ezekiel Kemboi and Usain Bolt out of the picture now there is a lack of coolness at the top level.
Sage Canaday is HUGE for running. His quirky spirit shows his true love for running and his over analytical self provides incredible insight to work outputs whether a training run or a race. I've personally learned a lot from his videos. Hope he hits the sub 2:19 mark for the OT Marathon.

Jim Walmsley for sure is the coolest runner in the game. Enough talent to be one of America's best road racers (or track for that matter) but decides to compete in real races against the elements. PS Sage Canaday is a twat.
13:40s in college isn't Americas best track talent
highschoolers have run faster than that

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?

How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
