Did Soren Knudsen suit up for NAU? Can't see him in the results yet told a lot of people he was pulling his readshirt

Couldn't have. Only 8 athletes run from each school, so if he doesn't show up in the results, he's still got his redshirt.
I don't think that NAU needs to pull anyone's redshirt at this point...unless there's someone we don't know about.

Would NAU have ran faster if they had raced at sea level? Most likely. That does not mean their performance was hampered racing at 4,100 feet.
Dear god it never, ever stops.
Impressive run from NAU top 3 men. 23:21 in Ogden is heavy duty running.
Gilchrist also impressive — looked bulletproof over the last km.
SUU men are going to do well at Nationals.
Nice season for the MSU women to take 2nd.
Well just more points to show that BYU is better, been saying it the last 3 weeks...
I will admit, I was skeptical of BYU because of their tendency to fade as the season goes on.
However, I think this year they are really going to pull it off. They look great. NAU is great as well though and it will definitely be a good race.
As long as BYU doesn't look questionable at the regional, they are my pick to win it.

Yes, I think it will be a close race still
People think because someone is going to win itvhas to be big, or someone is better so everyone else sucks
Right now BYU is hitting on the highest level, and NAU is just a few steps behind still plenty of time to get better as well
Is this true?

I'm curious if Lomong and Beamish were sat out with similar approach Portland (possibly) took, just keeping fresh legs for later. Are either one hurt?
For real?
I think we forgetting that NAU 4th runner did not run. If he run he will have got between 4th-7 so that changes everything. If he gets 4th Nau will have won the race by 18 point which will be very good race. So I think NAU 1 and 2 are better than BYU 1. Then I think it will be Nau 3 then BYU 2-4then it will be Nau then BYU 4-5 then NAU 4-5 then BYU 5.

I rewatched the WCC Conference champ to see whether Thies was jogging or not. He looked beat. He was huffing and puffing in the last mile. He bent over at the finish...
On the other hand #2 to #5 BYU guys (who finished a couple of seconds ahead of him) looked super relaxed. He was also 11 seconds behind McMullin.
Thies was 8th at Wisco (12 seconds behind NAU #1) and beat 2 of the top 5 NAU guys.
I am thinking that BYU 1 to 5 are as strong as NAU 1 to 3. They will be intermingled. NAU 4 and 5 will be far behind BYU #5, (perhaps 10 to 15 seconds back, which means 10 to 15 spots behind), giving the victory to BYU. I wouldn't be very surprised to see BYU #6 (perhaps even ahead of him) be very close to NAU #5.
At this point it really depends on Beamish and Grijalva coming through for NAU and for BYU it's Clinger and Carney. I wouldn't be surprised if the two teams are separated by only 10 points at nationals. Here's how i've got it sketched out so far at natties:
4. Linkletter (BYU)
5. Baxter (NAU)
7. Day (NAU)
11. Trouard (NAU
12. Clinger (BYU)
14. McMillan (BYU)
25. Young (BYU)
26. Beamish (NAU)
29. Carney (BYU)
40. Grijalva (NAU)
BYU: 84
NAU: 89
This is on the optimistic side for Beamish and Carney. Would not be surprised if Trouard slips a bit at 10K or if Grijalva moves up; I could see him being a stud.

BUMP. Since there's nothing else exciting in NCAA this week!

I wonder if either squad even suits up all 7 for regionals...should be a walk in the park for them.
Walk in the park? Are you kidding? The mountain region is BY FAR the most competitive. We've got: NAU, BYU, Colorado, SUU, Colorado State, Airforce and Utah state, all top 20 teams.

No he's absolutely right. As deep as the Mountain Region is, BYU and NAU are set on qualifying for NCAA's only. I doubt they care if they come in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, as long as they qualify. Both should be able to sit some guys and run well within themselves, like a workout, and still qualify considering how good they are.

Ya, with Kolas Points, either team would just push anyone in ahead of them. Mountain has 7 projected to qualify, so they could drop back and easily make it.
Definitely curious if anyone will sit out at regionals.

Curious if other squads in the region will do the same, considering the surplus of qualifying points. Teams like Weber State are maybe looking to down one of these teams and get pushed in.

We will see, Weber State hasn't put up any regular season big performances, but they managed third at conference...
I don't see their other runner in your sketch. Glines is making a comeback and should in the mix.

BYU and NAU dont need a full squad to beat Colorado....
and its not "BY FAR" the deepest region.... please, the WEST region is just as loaded if not more
