Yeah, WCC championship courses tend to be pretty fast. They usually have good weather and are pancake flat. There have been a few exceptions, like Portland's in 2012 or Gonzaga's in 2015. I know in 2014 it was a blazing fast course.

Absolutely, not knocking her performance. Just saying it doesn't suprise me to see super fast times at WCC's.
No surprise on the women's side as the international all star team won (other than Boise made it a lot closer than many would have expected). NM has to be disappointed with their men's team placing fifth out of eight on their home course considering how much they have invested in foreign athletes (4 of their top 5 and 9 of the 16 on their roster are all foreigners). Anyone else know that Kurgat is 26 years old and they have 2, 21 year old freshmen on their team? When you take that into consideration, her dominance is less impressive.

Except New Mexico's 4th was Alice Wright who uncharacteristically collapsed at the finish, she had an off day. New Mexico is still in search of a 5. Ostrander does look to be getting stronger.
WCC men about to start
hear Portland is sitting some of their top guys

Portland is resting guys, BYU and Portland are both already just chilling at the front of the pack.
pac-12 women are off

Why would they rest guys at their conference meet? That's so dumb. NCAA coaches already rest their top guys plenty. Now we're saying conference meets don't matter?
