I was the victim of a drive by boobing. Maybe 14-15 years ago me and an older dude were minding our business running along a country road when a car load of young women drove by yelling and flashing us their bare breasts. I $hit you not! I was scarred for life.
That did happen, but I realize with gender roles reversed it would be a much more threatening situation. I imagine most incidents of guys being harassed are of the annoying run forrest run variety, irritating but ultimately harmless. I imagine most incidents for women being catcalled feel legitimately more threatening. And in that vein, it strikes me that rojo’s initial description of the problem, equating the issue for men and women, is highly simplistic, verging on idiotic. Sorry for saying so...
