Don't understand the difference visually from bug huggers and spandex: its literally a few inches of skin and my spandex would always ride up anyways.
Gross comments in this thread.
^a common lie about why someone wears leggings. Sweatpants are comfortable, but the cool pretty girls weren't wearing sweatpants before they switched to leggings.
Leggings (probably) are comfortable, but the fact that you list that as the reason you wear them is called rationalization and it's a defense mechanism.
'"Author Name" is registered': it is sad that you can't believe women are wearing leggings because they are comfortable. For you to say 'I know why you are, and you know why you are; comfort is a common lie' shows all of problems in how you view women. You should work on this.
Perhaps you ahven't spent a long time on college campuses. I have been on campuses across the country for over 20 years as a student, grad student, and prof. I would say the girls are are wearing leggings to class are EXACTLY the type who were wearing sweatpants 20 years ago, for the most part.
There were some girls who wouldn't be caught dead wearing sweats around campus 20 years ago, even during exams, and I don't think that type is now wearing leggings.
If anything, your little critique could be directed at the young men who are now wearing "#fitnessfashion" sweatpants with the elastic ankle cuffs etc. By your logic: those guys were not wearing sweats 10 years ago (they were in skinny jeans in 2015 and baggy jeans in 2005) so don't tell me it's about comfort.
