Fisher can be the one in 2017 and 2018. And he is only 20 years old. He can close a 1500 m race in 51.8, win a NCAA 5,000 m and be in the conversation for 10 km XC nationals all in the same year.

The original question was who would be the next US Born American (male, implied) to win NCAA (XC, implied). So Fisher isn't able. My guess......Clinger.
