There was a thread on Twitter about how this played out for someone. A woman was assaulted by her doctor and decided to press charges. The docs' lawyers decided to wage the battle publicly. So even though she should have been able to remain anonymous, her name was leaked to the press. This was a popular well known doctor and people wanted her life destroyed for trying to ruin his. She was ultimately fired from her job, kids were threatened and her public image wreaked. So you know happened? The doc was convicted and spent 4 years in prison. Lawyers will do anything to protect their client even when the client is guilty. And typically when it's he said/she said, good luck winning that battle.
