Symmonds is back baby!!!

I can run faster than that and all I do is bang women from the local bar and play poker and video games.
-
I won my last half in the same time!
I'm almost 50 with a 2:01 lifetime 800 best. -

Forgot to mention while making 300k a year. #thanks Stewie -
You mean to tell me his 800 speed didn't carry over to the half-marathon? EVERYTHING I KNEW ABOUT RUNNING IS A LIE!
-
Did he look relaxed?
-
Why even bother posting about a 1:24 half?
-
He never liked running and only did it to facilitate his business interests.
-
Don't most guys of his ability and much less ability, for that matter, run 20 milers at that pace or faster routinely in their training? I know I did a quite a bunch when I was in HS and college, and I pretty much sucked.

No, but it carries better than that. -
He is one of the sprint 800 guys. His reach is at best 1500.

I appreciate and respect Simmons skill and career but he is slow at 400. -
I ran a faster half when I was 12 years old and like 4'9". That woulda been awesome beating him at that age!
-
Is it me or does nick look like a decent runner for the first time ever in this picture?

For those criticizing his time, he won by 5 1/2 minutes and 9 minutes ahead of 3rd (1st woman) at an event with only a couple of hundred finishers so I don't think that he was going all out. Who knows how fast he really could have run?
-
This guy is supposedly a 3:56 miler. Now at 1:24? Dudes off the juice now.
-
1:24 half is that actually running?
Long course? Did he run 1-3 miles to far.
I run that hung over and smiling every Sunday. -
Big fan of Symmonds' career, loved watching him race. it's clear what he's trying to do: embrace hobby jogger life to reach a broader market for his business outside of the hardcore track fans. He's not going hard on that 1:24 half, but it's just fast enough to be respectable and relatable to road warriors. His goal for the marathon is the ever-elusive (to the masses) SUB 3!

Probably not that fast. He's gone full hobbyjogger
