There were unseeded races at Pre Nationals as well. Women's race was won by Western Michigan's Hanne Christensen. Story here was Texas Tech's Nokuthula Dlamini. She transferred in from Monroe College and has done well for the Red Raiders this season. Has been top finisher in all of their meets so far, including a 2nd place finish here. She ran this race in her bare feet instead of shoes. Not sure if she will continue competing barefooted or in shoes the remainder of the season.
John Dressel was on the starting line at Pre-Nats. He just was standing by Wetmore in street clothes and a boot. Not sure if it's a season-ending injury or just a preventative measure. Not good news for the Buffs

I'm pretty sure Canada is in America, North America.
Am I wrong? Has it been relocated to Europe, Asia or Africa?
I never understood why people in other parts of the continent would care that there's a country that calls itself America. It's like people in New Mexico getting outraged every time someone calls himself/herself Mexican.
you can call yourself whatever you want. Reasonable people will just think you a morons

The top 3 BYU runners in the B race would have taken 53, 55, and 65 in the A race based on times. That is some good depth!
So their second 5 would have been 6th? Is that right?
