Somewhere between 1500 and 2000 miles. Should do it more often probably but don't.
Just out of curiosity, can any replies to this thread include the make (and model) of their shoes?
As for me, I've replaced my Altra Ones between 250 and 400 miles. Usually the foam compresses so much that it just hurts to run in them.
I rotate several pairs at once. Some old. Some newer. If my knees hurt after running in a pair then its time to relegate that pair to yard work or a race that will totally destroy them like running on karst or volcanic rock.
ASIC Gel Cumulus, size 15-16 2E or 4E.
Don't keep track of miles. A pair might last a year or more. Lately some of ASICs shoes have been wearing out sooner than the models from five years ago.
My Asics (GT-2000 and Cumulus) have all gotten painful to run in around 400 miles or under. Brooks Ghost 8/9 have lasted 500.
You cannot all be serious. At that point there is absolutely no cushioning left, and the things feel dead. 400ish for me for a good pair.

Volcanic rock races are my favourite!
The thing that irritates me is the lack of shoe reviews and discussions in one large thread, as the information you have posted above ⤴is really useful and I too have tried out a few shoes in recent years. To think the Trump thread has hundreds of pages as have shootings etc. But this is supposed to be a running site. Crazy.
Fat hobby jogger here. I'd say 350-450 miles is normal for me. My pounding breaks down the padding quickly.
I had around 800 in the Kinvara 7s. They were still very usable at the end, though the cushion had lost all of its bounce.

I've had 8 pairs of Adidas Energy Boost 2s. The least I've gotten on any of them was around 650 miles. I've gotten over 800 on a couple pairs. They don't last as long during track season because running/drills on the track eat up the rubber. They are awesome. The only reason I have to replace them is because I eventually almost completely eat through the rubber where my toes push off. The midsole seems indestructible.
I had a pair of Energy Boost 1s that I just retired because the outsole (gone in places), was so smooth that they were hazardous to run in if it was remotely wet outside. I had over 2000 miles on them, and the midsole still felt great. Boost is incredible.
By the way, check out the Saucony Freedom ISO, which is basically the same as Boost. It's nice and wide with a pretty low drop and plenty of cushioning.
I get new shoes twice a year, so around 1,000 each. Stopped counting miles at 20,000 and that was in the early 80s so that is just a rough guess. Mostly Nike but liking the New Balance and Adidas lately.
Probably 800-1200, I don't track it but I replace them when the holes are big enough to stick my pinky through
about 400mi for me, sometimes a lot less.
why can't you guys afford to replace shoes more often? Maybe that's what you should be asking yourselves.
wow i'm on the low end. i run in adidas adios 3 and boston 6 and get new ones after 300.

+1 I also found that the midsole of the Adidas Boost lasts forever. I usually retire my Adidas when the rest of the shoe literally falls apart, but the midsole still feels like new.

1300 on a pair that I don't wear very often anymore. No tread left at all and a few small chunks missing from the bottom. By far, my favorite pair of shoes Hoka has ever made. Upper is going strong still. Of course they weigh about a pound each and are like concrete blocks when wet, but I just can't quit them.
Every 3 months as a kid 800-1000 miles
As a Hobby jogger I just stopped using my WaveRider19s at less than 200. They didn't work well for me. Still life left in them but they made my ankles hurt.
Plan on getting 600+ on my Supernovas
