Rupp is running closer to Paula's speed than Dennis' speed, so no, this is not unusual.
So Paula was running 4:30's the last 10K of any of her races? So a minute faster than her track 10000 PB? Wow just wow.

lmao these guys are to easy
Doper Rita Jeptoo closed the last 2k in Boston '13 in 5:01 pace (but had run a good chunk at 5:38 pace.)
I don't know if Paula is necessary a good example as pretty sure most people who are skeptical of the NOP are equally as skeptical of Paula (again people who can be objective as the Brojos have pretty much indicated they cannot in her case.)

Yes. Lots of guys blow up worse in a marathon.

Dennis Kimetto? You mean the Dennis Kimetto who couldnt even finish a real championship style marathon at 2:12 pace? The Dennis that couldn't finish the same marathon that Hasay ran? Seems to me he can't even hang with her let alone Rupp.
Hasay is the second fastest American female ever.
Derrick is NOT even close to being the second fastest American male ever.
Derrick cranked out close to 5 minute miles for most of the 26 miles. Hasay dawdled for most of the race. So of course she was able to finish faster. He was exhausted and she was fresh after dawdling most of the race.
Marathons are hard.
And Dennis was even closer to Paula's speed!
Derrick's quote is that the Marathon is approximately 4 miles too long.

Are you kidding me?

Just ask Hermans about Kimetto.

Really? "dawdled most of the race". Get your facts straight, Dick. She went out with the leaders at 2:17/2:18 pace through the half and then ran a positive split. Give your head a shake.
Many males have hit the wall and run 5:18 or slower for the last mile (most of that probably came in the last HALF mile).
Forget the last 2k. Derrick caught a second wind at this point and closed a bit. Check out his 17:30 5k prior to that. He wasn't the only one, Chelanga, Estrada, Puskedra all bonked hard.
So I asked Hermens about Kimetto, this is what he said, "poor dude doesn't get break. He became millionaire after 2:02. People forget he won Chicago Marathon in CR 2:03 and won Tokyo as well. Marathons are huge in Japan. He hasn't trained to the level before he ran his world record. One of the best ever."

Ok, fine. But what does this have to do with Hasay and Derrick?
