I work for a company of about 1500 people in which about 70% of those 1500 make up one position spread across many branches. I was hired a year ago and told the pay range was $17-20. I was offerer $19 and then got a pay raise recently to $19.22. However, I recently found out from a couple of friends that applied, that they are not saying the pay range is from $20-24/hr and my friends are getting offers in that range and have no experience in this field. So now, I realize, I'm training people who don't know how to do this job, but are getting paid more than me.
What the F? Is this even legal? I feel like quitting.
Should I talk to my manager? If so, how should I go about this?
