The speed oriented emphasis at Cal is hampering her. If she were at CU, I honestly feel she’d be right there with Dani Jones and Katie Rainsberger, her old rival from their Colorado high school days.
What are you talking about girls that "shouldn't be beating her"? She lost about 5 seconds per mile moving down to sea level and that is absolutely typical of what we would expect to see. She is running to her sea-level ability right now. It has nothing to do with Cal's training methodology. It has to do with the amount of oxygen in the air where she lives/trains.
