Some of you amaze me. I did not see the puking and did not need to. His face gave it away. He looked horrible. Like I would if I went pale and felt horrid. And why at 30k? Well he knows he feels very bad, he knows the pacer is arranged to stop at 30k (and they are friends) and thus will be picked up at such a pre-arranged place. He knows it's not going well and you only have so many marathons in you (the damage is done in the latter part and doubly so if you have the off day--maybe 10x worse). I already thought he was looking off. And EK is doing great, the new guy looks super solid. Yes, you might disappoint the folks who sulk around at LR.com but hey, not a priority when you have to throw up. A marathon is NOTHING like a shorter race. And a rough marathon is even more so. If you have only run up to 5k or 10k you have no idea. And if your livelihood depends on it? Wise move.
