What was with the Anna / Bertone duel? Anna 1st German woman?
Just 5th and 6th place, but yes Anna was first German woman. Bretone is Italian.

Anyone care to estimate the cost of running that distance with reduced grip?
Don't invite him, you know who will arrive and do you know what.

Is this receding hair line typical for Kenyan women? Cherone isn't the only one among the Kenyan elites
It's most likely what's called traction alopecia. The stress of tight braids pulls the hair out by the roots and inflames the hair follicle leading to baldness around the hair line. Can lead to permanent baldness over time if the braids aren't relaxed.

Wanjiru, the Kenyan, was more powerful. The gliding efficient of the Ethiopian today reminded me a little like 'Bekele THE ORIGINAL', seen in the following starting at around 5:55:

Whoops, BIKILA! lol
I completely disagree that if it's a 43K she is third. Honestly, these claims are made every time a second or third-placer looks like they're closing well behind a winner. Complete nonsense if you ask me. Anyone who has run races knows as much. The order is as is.

They won't shut up about their DNF guy with the pink shades on his head
Yes too much time spent on him. See him wobble, later?

I estimate that the wet ground cost 5-10 seconds per mile.
10x26 = 260s
260s = 4min 20s
Plus Kipchoge wasted valuable energy waving at Adela, likely cost 1min.
He also held back and tired from Monza which likely cost 1.5mins.
With coach JS' special DANCAN'T training he could shave another 12 minutes off his or.
As such, I estimate that Kipchoge could have run...
1:34:13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... Jokes aside it probably cost max 1-2 secs per mile from lost grip

wow, these hahner twins are cute!
They certainly are ðŸ˜
The Anna/Hanher sisters, always underwhelming. Always adored. Alwaya treated like royalty.
Why does Kipchoge wear compression sleeves the entire thon / at all? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but it's the point of compression sleeves to stay warm?

Love it!! I forgot to take pictures but the bar where I was watching from was packed to capacity! ~ 150 people.

OK, relax. Just stressing how spent Cherono was and how composed Aga & Aiyabei finished right behind.

And if it was a 42.3K Cherono still would've won...

Maaaan, I love Kipchoge but I couldn't help thinking those things should have been discarded as soon as they hit 10k! It beats me why he had them the whole way! Any biomechanics experts who can shed light on this?

right.
I think too early to propel Adola as the future. Remember Moses Mosop? In his debut he finished just 4 seconds behind Geoff Mutai in that epic race in Boston in 2011. After that the dude never smelled under 2:05. Give him two more races and see how he performs.

I wonder what Kimetto is thinking right now!
ok. Now that this farce is over, who are the rest of the top 20 finishers? I want to see who the top non-doped runners are.

They are hardly going to speed you up when soaked with water
