The medal situation for 2012 is still unclear to me. Is Rowbury going to wind up third?

Classic, yes no '+++++' ratings for her. 😂
Even though she’s currently serving a ban, isn’t drug cheat Bulut the 2012 Olympic champion after the DQ? When will her title be stripped?
Testosterone, HGH and EPO.
And the medal goes to ... wrote:

I'm pretty sure Bulut has been stripped. Currently they have only awarded the Bahraini (you know the country of Ramzi, and the same distance). The next "clean athlete" is Rowbury (though coached by Sleezar), then the Slovak. Ironically, Lisa Dobriskey should well have gotten the bronze and she was 8th. Basically, this race was like the TdF during Lance Armstrong's era, you can take the titles off LA but finding the first clean competitor maybe difficult.😂

So true. They stripped LA for "attitude doping" but left those 7 TdFs vacant because you'd be hard pressed to find any guys not linked to doping down the list of top finishers. In hindsight, I think they should have let LA keep the 7 titles with asterisks (*) delineating "best placed doper." 😅
And you're correct; Bulut was stripped of the silver. Looks like no one has been elevated yet though Tomashova could get silver (from 4th). That would be something that Russia could end up with some hardware from London after all. ðŸ˜

Surely not, what a disaster, "Say it ain't so Seb Coe?"

Good reminder. Very informative that some drug cheats get caught who never went beyond the ABP thresholds.
This once more emphasize how ludicrously high those thresholds are, and in turn how doped to the gills those identified as "likely doping" were.
But yeah, blame it on altitude - although that's already build in!

Hi Casual, the actual "suspicious level" is somewhat vague. Just out of curiosity (and only because I live next door to a Prof. of Cardiology who is into cycling but strangely loves Mo Farah, which we debate, regularly) I got my "off score" worked out and it was like 89-91 or something and most probably it has been quite stable over the years (I don't have alot of reticulocyte data, as one doesn't normally walk in to a doctor's office and ask for a count 😄). And interestingly my off-score though low was higher than Armstrong's on his comeback and I think he was doping at that time.
Too bad Morgan Uceny wasn't able to get up and hobble across the line to finish the race. That might have gotten her a medal, eventually.
How come the women 1500m was so dirty in 2012, yet the men's 10000m was so clean?

Complete BS.....Steroid cheats are very inventive...and dishonest...
Actually during the Nandrolone bust years the stuff really was turning up in all kinds of basic supplements.
I guess the companies really wanted their vitamins to work noticeably.

Great question for rekrunner. Whenever someone asks why a certain race "appears" to be clean, I defer to rekrunner; especially if EPO is the focal point. 😉
Who said EPO was the focal point?
We know women are high-responders to male hormones, while men possess large amounts naturally.
Another obvious difference between the two events: In the 1500m women, one Russian, one Belarusian, and two Turkish women have been disqualified. In the men's 10000m, there were no Russians, or Belarusians in the final, and only one Turkish man who placed 9th.
