The NB crew works hard, but idk if the group has the needed the discipline. Seems like Cory is traveling every other day and posting selfies all the time - hard to stay consistent when it's all about your social media personality and not the training.
Abby isn't her "old abby" yet but she did get 2nd at Mayor's cup behind Molley Seidel. She doesn't even look fit yet from a completely surface physical perspective...which means she's probably due for a pretty damn good season. I believe she's running the 5k road champs this weekend.
the top NB talent like Emma & Jenny already have their roots in Colorado, so idk why they'd ever come out to Boston.
Be Nice!

Yes, because God knows that a full time runner has no free time to post a couple of selfies a day.
Jerk off.
Mahon is gone in 3 weeks and they still haven't hired anyone for the job.
This doesn't seem fair to the athletes. Some may not return depending on the hire.
Why didn't Emma Bates run Club Cross? Has she already left?
What gives BAA?
They hired a well established marathon coach. I don't know what this means for the MD folks. They are just ironing out the details. I think this board will be shocked as I never thought they would get him to move.

America has one of those? I kid, I kid . . . kinda.
I know he only left once for a opportunity in Oregon and we all know how that turned out. He is much better off a professional coach than college one. This opens the door for Heins to bring back Houston to NCAA XC glory.
Yeah, Sharp and Butchy are moving to Cali w/ Mahon

Why would someone that established something that is their own give it up to take over something that someone else created?
I heard from somebody who saw Jen Rhines at Footlocker that they were going to be settled in San Diego in a couple of weeks and Mahon also was going to be coaching Mac Fleet who has relocated from Oregon back to San Diego.
So we’re thinking it’s Magness?

Steve Magness? I could potentially see it. He's had some success with high level runners and I think he'd do a good job coaching all the distance events. I think he's done a solid job at Houston but it's hard to see them ever becoming a powerhouse in distance, so this would be a chance to be a little more big time.
Plus it would create some nice drama at USA's when his BAA athletes would be racing against NOP.
Wouldn't the BAA be better off spending their money on athletes who can compete for national titles or national teams than on a big name coach?
Scott Simmons applied for the Boston job?
How do you know that? He’s got a sweet gig in Colorado Springs with WCAP. Do you think Sean Ryan is pushing him out?
I’m sure he can move his ADP anywhere but WCAP is in Colorado for a reason.
and updates on BAA?
Lipari is officially gone
Emma Bates is gone
The only guy on the team is gone.
Pagano and Balouris are waiting to see how the new set up will work but would prefer to get a deal and follow Terrence to San Diego.
Matthews has a real job in Boston so she can't leave.
The new coach will be starting from square one.

I had the same question. Applies to New Balance Boston also.
