OK WOW. Obviously the solution is a kind of h-index of posters.
Your h-index is H, where H is the number of threads you started that got H or more replies.
Without further ado, these are the 50 most engaging thread starters of the last 6 months, by h-index:
letsrun.comyour benevolent dictator -- 59
rojoco-founder -- 47
wejoco-founder -- 25
markschultz25 -- 23

Wow I almost made too 50. Guess I really don't have a life. 😂😂
So embarrassed. I need to cut back and get a new hobby.

These are the Letsrun elite.
If you managed to start 20 different threads that EACH garnered 20 replies. I'm impressed. I can't wait to dig into my larger dataset
This post alone has got to be worth at least #2 on this list.
H-index here attempts to wrap number of threads started and number of replies into one metric. It does a good job at answering the question, "Who starts the most popular threads on Letsrun"
One question: does this account for thread deletions?
I'm guessing not. Think of all of vento/calc's threads where he gets any dissenting views deleted.
When Time Magazine came up with the top 100 stories of the 20th Century (at the end turn of the century), Bill Clinton and the impeachment saga story was number 52.
This made Bill ask; 'WHAT DOES A MAN HAVE TO DO TO CRACK THE TOP 50?'
At least I am on the list. Ha ha ha ha!
To borrow Bill's words, what does a man have to do to crack the top 80?
On a serious note, thanks Harambe. You've done something no one has ever done before on this site.
This is a fancy way of saying "these are your top trolls."
Surprised to see myself so high on that list.
Time for the next stat.
I increased my dataset to cover now -> oct '16. (11mo)
These are the best trolls as defined by:
Who has gotten Wejo or Rojo to respond to a thread they started more than once? We all know getting the brojos to chime in is the end goal of any good troll.
Anyway here are the successful posters ordered by the number of rojo/wejo responses:
mr. obvious -- 4
jonathan gaultlrc guru -- 4
moby dick -- 3
minong -- 3
habs -- 3

Good lord, I never expected to be on the list, never mind near the top.
Don't tell my employer.
Same. Almost top ten? Dayum
At least it was only ms25 and not ms26 that beat me...

Great to see LRC, Rojo, Wejo as most engaging. This confirms what we already knew. Rojo reigns as King of the Trolls, owning the number 1 and 2 position! Now we need the mods to do some IP research and see just how many(few) individuals compose the top 50.

I'll take it.
On the list, but not near the top. Having a life, yet still being relevant ;-)

How did you do this?
Dead gorillas have a lot of time on their hands.
Well that's also probably because threads created by letsrun.com/wejo/rojo are not going to be deleted, so their numbers are inflated.
Nice research! Two questions:
1) What language/application did you to scrape all the posts and compile the data (personal curiousity)?
2) How many of these 100 posters do we (collectively) have an decent idea of their actual name?

All done in python. I'm not very good but can do enough to organize text and run stats on lists.
And I would say less than 20%
