29:43. Dang
29:43!!!
So let me get this straight, this girl goes for a wr in the half marathon, and breaks this 10k record en route, then goes for the 10k record and breaks the 5k en route. What an athlete, kind of wish she was on the track as well as the roads

14:33 official 5k split. Could she break 29?

She's so good, I wonder why she doesn't do Worlds. Is there more money on the roads? She's a better version of the woman who won Falmouth and then got 2nd in 5k in DL final.
She doesn't look as skinny as the other Kenyan runners?!?
3 minutes later elite mens bibs still crossing the line S he crushed it!
Yeah I want to see her race Ayana in a track 10000.
Is there really much drug testing on the roads? That might be your answer right there.
and I still don't get the cobblestones and tram tracks? Mens winner stumbled with 150 meters to go. I know Prague is an old city but......
Jepkosgei reminds me of Mary Keitany -- huge talent, goes out super hard, and still hangs on for ridiculous times.
For making official a WR on the road, for any distance (but the WR of 5 km doesn't exist), it's a must to have the antidoping control with both blood and urine.
The rule about the course is that the distance between start and finish must be less than 50% of the length of the race (so, in this case, less than 5 km). in order to avoid (or to limit) the advantage of tail wind. that can be big in case of straight course (for example, the first edition of the Copenhagen HM on the bridge joining Denmark and Sweden, totally strait).
Second rule, the gap in elevation between start and finish must be less than 0,001 % (so, in this case, less than 10 meters).
In the case of Prague, the first 5 km are a little bit downhill, while the second half is a little bit uphill, and this can explain the very fast times of the first half.
Thank you, Coach. That clarifies some questions.
Coach Canova,
Do you have a guess as to what Jepkosgei could run for 10k on the track?
And would you have any idea why she wouldn't make an attempt on the track? She looks like she could take down Ayana, Obiri, etc.
is there any way to watch this again if you missed it?
their live stream does not do "replay" unfortunately

not sure if there is anything up yet, but it wasn't much to watch, spotty coverage, lukewarm commentating, night time start so kind of dark. Mens race actually more compelling, womens 'race' never in doubt, just a matter of how fast. All to say, don't kill yourself trying to find a replay, watch NY 5th Ave Mile tomorrow instead.
Is it just my imagination, or did she run all of the race beside her pacer instead of behind him?
If it's too good to be true it almost always is. What kind of out of competition testing do they have in Kenya again? yeah
