Considering the sheer quality of the pacing team..they might go beyond 30k at that pace.

Gosh, how very profound. Yes we know aerodynamics made a big difference, that was the point, we know, you don't need to tell us.
Apparently "you" don't know this, at least not some of "you." The person a couple posts above yours wrote "The psychological impact can be important, that's true. In marathon running, at least 10% it's just about the mind." This is exactly the kind of idiot Nike has successfully fooled. It uses the obvious-to-most advantage of the drafting to promote the idea that the impossible is possible. It's a Trojan Horse strategy to sell the 4% bullshit shoes. Nike knows that people will think like this:
"Sure it was the drafting, but what if it wasn't?"
People are idiots and dreamers and that is the whole basis for this idea that two hours or even 2:01:30 in a normal race is possible. It's as if people believe that the physical gas imposed by doping, drafting, and so on can just be overcome by clean, unshielded people trying harder. And that happens to an even greater extent on this message board than on others thanks to the tremendous concentration of dummies, delusionals, dolts, dipshits, dunces, and even dunderheads.
I agree but we'll see on the 24th, I'd still like to be proven wrong.
Here, here! Considering the effort and tricks used in Monza, psychologically they're further away from 1:59 than ever before. If the WR survives this race, I'd wager it'll stand for a good while yet.
No logic behind this
Nutcase protesters will interrupt the elite's race by a few seconds and we will wonder for years what coulda-woulda.
Its election day, after all...
Over 14000 security men will be along the course, one every 3m, so no chance!
Just saw bekele doing an easy run, his stride length was longer than the cheetah going balls out for its gazelle dinner.
Then, we should probably expect great things.
Where? In Addis or Berlin?
Hmm, you don't look like one to have great expectations.

Garmin just recently gave Bekele a new watch that could measure his cadence. After a test run he returned the watch because it had stopped working. The display showed the message: "Overflow error: cadence exceeds maximal CPU number".
Expect great things!
On the roads around Sululta, they are putting signs warning people not to get sucked in Kenenisa's slipstream. Expect great things.
The winner if he gets the wr + appearance fee is supposed to take home almost the equivalent of 700,000$. Extra motivation!
bull crap!
It can happen, but rules need to be changed.
If cyclists were allowed to roll up next to runners and give them their drink, like it is is done in cycling, a runner would run 2:01 easily.
The whole point of running is to RUN, not stop to get fluids, where a runner could lose up to ten seconds every 3 miles.
A runner would save 1:20 seconds.
That was the biggest difference with Kipchoge running close to sub 2. Cyclists road next to him to give him his drink, without his running being interrupted.
Dibaba lost the 2014 london marathon because she dropped her drink at a drink station, and she had to retrieve it. The Kiplagats took off, and she couldn't catch up. Neither of them had a kick to deal with Dibaba's kick, so they took advantage of her mishap.
If you take your drink smoothly you lose 1 second, max 2. It's nobody's fault you can't get a grip on the bottle. I recon it saved Kipchoge somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds at the very most.
Lol
