I'll believe it when I see it. Aside from a few stellar performances KB has been fairly inconsistent at the marathon. My bet is he pulls out halfway citing a calf injury / pacers were taking his bottles / shoes were uncomfortable etc. I liked the KB of old who got the job done and didn't complain.
"aside from a few stellar performances....." Um, yeah, 2:03 and a few seconds (2nd best all time), ** one year ago ** isn't really good enough or recent enough to believe he might break the WR, huh? (and yes, also has run three 2:05 races).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtsIYDy8Z8sLook, I get your point, yes, he has indeed been inconsistent in the marathon, and if one was betting, a DNF due to injury is not a bad wager. But his inconsistency been almost entirely due to LEGIT injuries/health problems. You act like he is a faker?? BS. The last year or so he's been healthier. Can the GOAT distance runner maybe be cut some slack?? He used to almost always "get the job done" because he is the most talented distance runner of all time AND was healthy. He is still the most talented, but has had some injury issues. Yeah, shocking, runners getting hurt! He wasn't even 100% last year. If he's close to it, sub 2:03 would not be a shock at all.
