I doubt if you put together the longest races by each of the posters who say you should focus on shorter races, they would add up to 100 miles.
Anyway, I just want to recommend you a podcast that, if you don't already follow, I think you'll like: the Science of Ultra podcast. It's conducted by a sports physiologist and the guests are scientists, coaches, and ultra athletes. They tell what actual research says about things like thresholds, fat adaptation, etc.
Keep up the good work. Your best 100-mile racing years are still ahead of you.
