Burned out and forgotten with the amount he races and trains. Probably will get injured when he's nineteen.
-
Well, you are wrong, but not knowing anything about him, his training and the people around him, I can see why you think like this.

There are no special physiologies. -
See Alan Webb

He's actually starting to under perform. With his mile and 5k time, he should be running like sub-7:50
Not a good sign. -

This. He's already having the onset of it. -
We all know he could run 8-flat no problem. I wanna know what he ran for the 400m?

How can I enter this race? Is it just stapling something 3000 times? Or is it like the 3000 steeplechase, but instead of steeplechase barriers you just have to jump over staples? -

No. Its actually jumping over 3000 staples, which comes to around 7.5 feet. Not that hard -

If true, he'll never be able to compete over a tactical 1500m like Rio where several guys ran 50.x for the last lap. Better think about moving up to the 10k. -

Fortunately he gets to grow up first before attempting that. -

Can someone tell me why we are talking about at 13:35 guy running 8:00? That's horrible. When you run 13:35, you hit 3k in 8:08.
I'm more interested in what he ran for the 400. Anyone know?

PS. The coolest PR of Jakob is his 1500 steeple.
Ran 4:10 last year in it.
Would that be a cool race to watch? Jager vs Simpson but Jager has to steeple. I guess he'd kill her wouldn't he? -
Great question, Rojo. I'd guess something sub-52. Gonna say, I don't know, 51.03. What do you think he's capable of?

Of course he's going to get faster, but he's running borderline world-class 1500m/mile times and he can't even manage one lap at 800m WR pace, which makes me think his highest potential is in the longer distances. He ran 1:49.x, right? Great for 16 years old, but not so amazing for a 3:56 miler. -
easy workout for Jakob
