Again, somehow no one has made this thread yet, so here is the Letsrun and IAAF previews:

My events to watch
5000m women: Obiri is running, and the rest of the field is nowhere close to her. While she lost that 3000m the other day, she lost to 3 1500m girls, non of which are running here. With this event on lock, and how great Obiri has been overall this season, I see no reason as to why she wouldn't go for a fast time, unless she is tired from a long season and just wants it to end.
3000m Steeplechase Men: Kipruto, El Bakkali, and Jager. All of these men can go sub 8:00, all of these men want sub 8:00, and they will probably ask for a sub 8 pace. If the pacers do their job, they will probably break 8:00. I think Kipruto has this. Watching the olympic final and the worlds final, its clear to me he's on a different level then the other two, and just hasn't shown it times wise yet. This could be a great race.
1500m women: This whole year, everyone (including myself) thought Hassan was the best this year. However at worlds Kipyegon rose up to prove that she is still the best. Both Hassan and Kipyegon probably want a 3:55, and Meadows is one of the best pacermakers you could ask for. This should be a great race.
Of course this could all go belly up with the athletes just racing eachother like 99% of diamond league races, let me dream.
