I ran a 4:04 marathon on no training. My longest run ever befire than was 14 miles so it killed me. I have never in my life done more than 20-25mpw and even when i do 20-25 it isn't consistant.
I am a female in my mid 20s, been running since I was 20, I have a few setbacks considring zi struggle with autoimmune thyroid disease but I have quite a lot of natural speed on my side. This year I have had a mile pr of 6 flat and a 5k of around 21:50. My sprint times are much better and I conpletely lack endurance. The more the distamce moves up, the more it shows.
If i upped my milage gradually to about 60-70 over a couple of years and was consistant about it for a few years would I be capable of a 2:59 marathon by the time I am in my mid 30s?
