Very interesting.
Very interesting.
That really is Kim Conley's group.
Would say that Leah needs out too.
Oregon Project.
Signed Murphy/Engels so seem to be stockpiling middle distance and planning for post-rowbury era.
A statement released today on norcal's social media and interwebs pages states that Kate is leaving NorCal. Where will she go? Why?
A very puzzling development as she's had by far the best two years of her career under them. I can think of a few options.
1) Nike forced her hand as Norcal is associated with New Balance.
2) Mayabe Conley is going to have a baby in 2018 so there would be no one to train with?
3) She's changed groups a lot so maybe she just is someone that likes to move around is always thinking something is better.
Of those three, not knowing anything, I'd lean towwards #1.
Portland?
PVD?
Boulder?
The world is her oyster.
I don't believe New Balance supports NorCal in any way aside from contracting Kim Conley. Their only group they support with paying coach/operational dollars is Coogan in Boston. I could see Bri and Kate feeling like the group revolves around Kim, but I guess that is to be expected with her and Drew married.
it says in the final sentence that she will be moving to portland this fall, so she is joining NOP since Bowerman is more 3k and up.
which way I see it wrote:

Not true
I like Kate. She's leaving Sacramento and moving to Portland. But which group will she join?

Hope to see more good progress.
Pete and Delete are sitting in a boat. Pete falls out. Who's left?
Poor Drew, lost his meal ticket.
Hollywood chicks like Kate are high maintainance.
Nike doesn't want her on a squad with NB/adidas athletes.
she doesn't seem like a Bowerman Babe type. I'll bet NOP, or Pete Julian's new club within NOP
Maybe change the subject line to: "But the needle shifts" to Portland...
"Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher." (And two years with an inspirational and principles-driven team). Being a member of @norcaldistance and working with @drew_wartenburg has changed my life. It is with sadness and gratitude that I say goodbye. Thank you. . . . I think a lot about what it means to make personal progress. There are parts of my personality that still ashame me... tendency talk big and not follow through, lack of responsibility/accountability. In the past two years I have learned to trust myself again -Through a program of rigorous goal setting, with teammates relentless and unapologetic in their goals, who held me to mine, and thanks to tireless energy and investment of a coach who cares deeply about his athletes. - I reached some major milestones, and learned it's not where you get, but who you become in the process. I saw that I did not have to be defined by my perceived weaknesses. That doesn't mean the battle is over, but the needle shifts, and you keeping fighting. 🖤 . . . PC @justinbritton
NOP
I cannot see her with the Bowerman group. Maybe NOP?
Dang. With felnagle and grace now gone, where does that leave Leah O'Connor? Bet she wishes she stayed in Michigan.
How many miles do you think KG ran today?

Leah floundered in MSU and has stalled NorCal .
Where else could she head which will resurrect her career?
