One thing I'm curious about. I noticed Conor becoming increasingly gassed, and it was especially noticeable from the 6th round on. He could barely stand up in the 10th round when Mayweather pounced on him.
What kind of fatigue was that? Muscular or cardio? Could Conor just run some extra miles to improve his endurance? Or was it that Conor's initial pace was too much for anyone to maintain? If Floyd had set himself up at Conor's initial pace, would he have been gassed out by the 10th round, as well?
I'm trying to get a feel for why everyone predicted that Conor would gas out -- and then he did. If everyone knew that, then why didn't Conor conserve his energy or design his training to improve his endurance? Was it because he had no choice?
I'm guessing that he knew that he could not beat Floyd in a technical, points-based contest, so if he had any chance if winning, it was by swinging for the fences in the first few rounds and getting a knockout. If he couldn't achieve a knockout then, then he didn't have a prayer anyway. Maybe that was his gamble.
