It is not a big surprise.
Yes, India is the worst. Unless public defecation is considered a sport, in which case India would be considered the best country in the world at that particular sport.
'India...the birthplace of diarrhea.'
why does India only really care about cricket?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Because the Raj brought it there --along with the King's English-- and it's what the people aspired to. They just dug it. As much as the pop' must have hatted the RAj they used English and cricket as a unifying force in a country with multi languages and two dominent religions (Hindi/Mus) that has almost nothing else as common factors in life.

Top athletes hail from the homes of strong and hardy barbarians.

Plenty of great athletes from Finland, a tiny, historically rustic country of 4 million. And Norway, another tiny, historically rustic country of 4 million.

A typical fools trap. Come up with a ridiculous hypothesis and fit it to a limited observation set and conclude causation.
Where are the great Moldovan athletes? Where are the great Uzbek athletes? Where are the great Mongolian athletes? Huh? Huh?
I have a unique personalized pocket knife I carry around with me. Also, I've never been attacked by a shark. Hence, I conclude that my pocket knife prevents shark attacks.
No the Canadian game evolved at the same time and has a closer resemblance to rugby than the American game. High school teams do play 4 down football but they have 12 men on the field. I think the reason why they play 4 down football is because the offenses are so primitive.Flyover wrote:

Japan is the only country ever to have beaten the USA in the IFAF world championship. USA plays with a handicap, typically offseason post-collegians not headed for the pros, but beating them was still impressive.
Come on, there are a gazillion American football fields in Canada, even in Quebec. They have their own pro league.
Hari Sathyamurthy who runs for Stanford is Indian and a total stud.
They are the top vegetarian nation in athletics.

Canada lost 50-7 to the USA in the 2011 championship game and is 4th in the all time rankings behind Mexico and Japan. Japan didn't actually beat the US, but lost its first title match vs USA in double OT. It has never finished worse than 3rd.
Texas is largely Hispanic and is football country, maybe that's why Mexico is good. They didn't let USA run up the score too much

And cricket is played seriously in only about ten countries. That's still better than American sports like NFL football and baseball. If I recall, American Football is only played in the United States, and nowhere else.
... and?
Fortunately for the rest of the world our vastly superior "three-sport" athletes play sports that only Americans enjoy watching.
Little Prajeet Singh is never getting picked up by the Browns, Bucks or Twins.
But I have absolute confidence that one of these gifted American athletes could learn and dominate these niche if the motivation were there...
I have been to India. Most of the country is a decrepit pit unworthy of Satan.
However, the women are beautiful, sensual and taste spicy.
With respect to sports, Indians understand that excelling in intellectual pursuits is much more important for their family than wasting time on sports, Sport is a religion for the masses. Individuals who excel in sports are morans.
The modern Olympics was designed to unify nations, but instead it devolved into a drugged filled culture of assclowns.
Consider the sport of worldwide football. It is merely a means of pacifying the sheeple until the country needs them for fodder during a war.
Sport has and always will be a means of pacifying the masses and you morans who take it seriously are too stupid to understand this.
Religion is used for the same purpose.
If the Indians avoid sports because it's religion, why don't they avoid religion itself? They have more religions than anywhere else on Earth.
Don't they only have two major religions, Hindu and Budist with smaller groups of muslim and christian? I admit that I am agnostic and that most of the people I have interacted with are too. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not a theologian and I am always enjoy being educated.
